We all adore the daily 'Let the Magic Begin' opening ceremony, where Mickey and Minnie Mouse, along with other beloved characters, greet guests right in front of Cinderella Castle. This heartwarming spectacle usually happens every day at 8:55 AM, as confirmed on the Walt Disney World calendar.
But here's where it gets interesting... Starting Wednesday, January 28th, the calendar (which currently extends to March 18th) shows no performances listed for 'Let the Magic Begin'. Could this be a sign that the castle's transformation is about to commence? It seems highly likely!
This means we might see Cinderella Castle reverting to its classic blue and gold color scheme within the next couple of weeks. To celebrate this exciting change, Walt Disney World has already launched a beautiful blue and gold castle merchandise collection.
For those who might not know, Cinderella Castle's original design featured shades of gray with light blue turrets. In 2020 and 2021, it received a special 50th-anniversary makeover, showcasing royal blue turrets, a different shade of gray on the lower half, and a pale pink on the top half, all adorned with more gold trim.
Disney announced in the summer of 2025 that the castle would be restored to its classic colors, with painting scheduled to start in January 2026 and finish later in the year.
