Collina Strada Fall 2026: Vampires, Sustainability & The Future of Fashion! (2026)

Prepare to be captivated by the bold and imaginative world of Collina Strada's Fall 2026 Ready-to-Wear collection, titled "Vampires Are Here Now." Designer Hillary Taymour, known for her fearless approach to fashion, has crafted a narrative that blends fantasy and reality, offering a unique perspective on the vampire trope.

"The World Is a Vampire" collection is a testament to Taymour's ability to draw inspiration from diverse eras, creating a cohesive and captivating runway experience. As she puts it, "A vampire, with their longevity, would have an extensive wardrobe," and this collection certainly reflects that idea.

The runway showcased a range of looks, from Victorian-inspired puff sleeves and ruffle collars to skin-baring dresses and dramatic, exaggerated trains. These elements came together to tell a story, but the true brilliance lies in their versatility as separates, proving that this collection is not just a fashion statement but also a smart business move. Taymour's business has seen a remarkable 95% growth on Shopify, a testament to her success.

Prints, a signature element of Taymour's design process, featured prominently on ethereal, paper-thin dresses, creating a billowing effect with fabric sashes. In contrast, other looks played with obscuring the body, featuring bubble shoulders that added a unique silhouette.

But here's where it gets controversial: Taymour's commitment to sustainability. She utilizes deadstock fabrics for jerseys and has collaborated with BioFluff, a Paris-based company, to create fuzzy, biodegradable fur coats made from recycled materials like hemp, viscose, and Tencel. Taymour proudly claims to be the first designer to showcase this innovative material on the runway.

Additionally, she worked with Stand Oil to craft handbags from vegetable grape leather and partnered with Keen to create hybrid shoes. When asked about the inspiration behind these designs, Taymour explained, "The idea of transformation was key. We wanted to show how a shoe could evolve from a practical item into a fashion-forward statement."

Many of the garments featured spiky, shiny jewelry, adding an edgy touch to the vampire-inspired looks. This jewelry category has proven to be a top seller, with attendees sporting these pieces, further emphasizing the collection's appeal.

In an uncertain world, Taymour is building a solid and sustainable business, offering a brighter and more stylish future. So, what do you think? Is Collina Strada's vampire-themed collection a step too far, or a brilliant fusion of fantasy and fashion? We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
